* 1 tbsp cumin seeds
* 8–10 curry leaves
* 1 tsp asafoetida (hing)
* 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
* 1 tsp oil



Method

Step 1: Roast the Lentils

1. Heat a pan on medium flame.
2. Dry roast chana dal until golden brown.
3. Remove and set aside.
4. Roast urad dal until lightly golden.
5. Remove and let cool.

Step 2: Roast the Spices

1. Add oil to the pan.
2. Roast dried red chilies for 1–2 minutes.
3. Add curry leaves and roast until crisp.
4. Roast cumin seeds and sesame seeds separately until aromatic.

Step 3: Cool

* ¼ cup powdered sugar
* 2 tbsp instant coffee powder

Method

1. Mix biscuits and butter; press into serving cups.
2. Dissolve coffee in hot water.
3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
4. Add coffee mixture and mix well.
5. Fold in whipped cream.
6. Pour over biscuit base and refrigerate for 4 hours.
7. Garnish with coffee powder before serving.

Tip
