The four founders Chanan Ram, Agya Wati, Ashok and Rajni opened a neighborhood grocery store in New Delhi. As the store grew in size and popularity they felt that existing masalas lacked something. These were made at home using the same ingredients and proportions that the family used in their own cooking. The masalas proved to be an instant success. Soon the neighborhood shop was flooded with cus
tomers from all over Delhi and in a few months people were calling from all over India. The founders began to release more and more types of masalas, each one was met with overwhelming feedback and demand. It became clear that the future of SDS was no longer their small grocery store. It had become the masalas that were known and loved by people all over the world. We've come a long way since then, releasing over 17 different types of masalas and expanding into the desert business with our Kulfi mix,Shahi Seviyan and Makhana Kheer. But we haven't forgotten our humble origins - our masalas are still familiar and delicious using the finest ingredients to ensure that cooking is a quick and easy process with delicious results.
