🥭 Mango season is more than just enjoying your favorite fruit—it's about knowing it too.
Every mango has a story, and understanding a few simple signs can help you choose fruit that's naturally ripened, flavorful, and ready to enjoy.
Here's a little more about the signs we've shared:
👃 A sweet aroma near the stem is one of the strongest indicators of natural ripening. As the fruit matures, it develops a pleasant fragrance that's difficult to miss.
🤲 A gentle press tells you a lot. A ripe mango should feel slightly soft, indicating that the flesh has matured. If it's too firm, it likely needs more time. If it's overly soft, it may be past its best.
✨ Small black specks aren't always a bad sign. In many cases, they're simply a sign that the mango has reached peak ripeness and developed its natural sweetness.
At NFC, we believe that buying fruit should be based on knowledge, not guesswork. Through this series, we'll continue sharing simple, practical insights that help you make better choices and enjoy seasonal fruits at their best.
What's one mango tip you've always believed to be true? We'd love to hear it in the comments. 🥭
