The most-selling item of The Hungry Spoon — Loaded Chicken Nachos. ❤️
When I started my journey almost two years ago, I honestly had no idea about the food business. I just knew one thing — I loved cooking, and I loved serving people.
My journey officially began at an exhibition in South Kolkata. I still remember walking into the ground on the first day. I was nervous. There were so many established food brands around me, and I kept wondering… Who would even stop at my stall? Who would taste my food?
The first half of Day 1 was exactly what I feared. Very few people came. Most just walked past, took a quick look at my stall and moved on. And honestly, I couldn't blame them. There were so many well-known food brands and experienced sellers around me.
Then came a moment I will never forget.
A group of Gen Z youngsters was walking past my stall. Without even thinking twice, I shouted —
“LOADED NACHOS!”
And somehow… it clicked. 😂
They stopped.
They came back.
They ordered.
And that's when I had my little aha! moment — Maybe I can attract customers by shouting! 😂
And once I was on the field, I never really had a second thought. I just went for it.
Over the next five days, I sold 200+ plates of my Loaded Chicken Nachos. ❤️
But what happened next meant even more to me.
Out of approximately 250 sellers at the exhibition, almost everyone started calling me “Chicken Nachos” — without even knowing my name or the name of my brand, The Hungry Spoon.
Just imagine what that felt like for someone who had walked into that ground feeling completely nervous and unsure of herself.
It was beyond anything I had imagined.
That happiness… that feeling of being recognised for something I had created with my own hands… honestly, I don't think I can ever put it into words.
And the beautiful part?
Even today, Loaded Chicken Nachos remains one of the most loved and repeated orders at The Hungry Spoon. ❤️
Sometimes, a journey doesn't begin with a perfect business plan.
Sometimes, it begins with nothing more than a love for cooking, a little courage, and one loud “LOADED NACHOS!” 😄
And for me, that one shout became the beginning of something I never knew I could build.
The Hungry Spoon. ❤️
