Zaiqebaaz A common man with a uncommon love for exploring food

The color of the gola was dark Teal. I can't think of a natural edible thing that produces the color. My kids' lips, tongue and teeth turned teal after having a couple of spoons.

I am not trying to get them bandi walas banned here. It's their bread and butter. My intention is to get the authorities to standardize and regulate the food coloring usage so that only natural and edible coloring agents are used from the street sellers to high end restaurants.

Do you think local manufacturers use just about any color for ice creams and stuff?

Aazebo's 4th branch at Lakdi Ka Pul is their second smallest outlet after Madhapur. Starting with Tolichowki they've only eyed on bigger and better properties for a new outlet. This time they went back to the cute and cosy model because they didn't wanna miss the opportunity of marking their presence in the Lakdi Ka Pul vicinity, which is one of the hubs of Hyderabad's culinary scene. While size does matter, the ambiance has never been Aazebo's USP, it's always their consistency with the food! This new branch is no different. At the same time they also never cease to bring something new to the table with each new outlet. New branch, new launch! This time they've introduced Beroti Kebab. It's a chicken kebab with a creamy beetroot topping. But the name doesn't have anything to do with beetroot. The name comes from Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Their recent addition , Turkish Laham, a creamy mutton gravy that comes with a crispy Yemeni naan is a hit since the day it was launched with the Malakpet branch. Their classics Juicy and Madfoon mutton Mandis are always in demand. Aazebo has always kept their Dessert game strong. Their desserts are either unique or a tribute to the classic ones! I am yet to try their attempt at the tough-to-crack Apricot Delight as it was not available today but I'm sure they've done something cool with it! Aazebo's consistency and the steady evolution of the menu is what keeps them relevant across the board. They've already earned themselves a distinct identity in Hyderabad and I think it's time they take their game to the next level by expanding to other cities like Bangalore and Mumbai where the magic Arabian cuisine has not been spelled.

First job friend visiting from the US decided to catch up with the team and have some good time reminiscing about the good old days. So I created the quintessential WhatsApp group and gave it the most creative name ever. Reunion. Since I am the food Khalifa of the group, it was my job to decide the place. Once everyone gave their rvsp, I asked them all to gather at the most happening cafe in the city .ccx as I wanted the NRI to see Hyderabad's world class culinary scene. So everyone gathered for a Saturday lunch and since the special guest was running late, we ordered 4 starters and all of them were superb.
I was excited for the next course. However when apna US return arrived, he was like "saalo mai itne saal baad aya hoon socha tha kuch kebab, biryani khayenge'. And it kinda made sense. So we moved to which was houseful and we had to wait for a good 20 minutes. Instead of asking who wants what, and going through the menu, I just ordered a kebab platter and two handis of Mutton Biryani.

This was my first time ordering something other than Haleem and Biryani at Sarvi. I hadn't heard of their starters from anyone either. So my expectations were average. But they surprised me with their perfectly grilled, tender and juicy kebabs. Seekh Kebab, Patthar ka Gosht and Tandoori Fish were my top picks. The mutton biryani was amazing as usual. However I'd have loved some more masala.

Overall US se aya mera dost and other dosts were super satisfied with the experience. Can't wait to go back to Sarvi with my other gangs and family.

Why do we always run out of pav before the bhaji? Is it the seller's strategy so we buy extra pav? Who minds paying an extra 30 bucks? Just give us 4 damn pavs and add 30 rupees to the price! Why do we have to stand in the queue again while our friends wait for the pav with open mouths, buttery fingers and unwanted anxiety?
