Celebrating Eid without Biryani, Chaap and Shahi Tukra is a complete NO NO!
So here it is, our all time favourite Calcutta Chicken Biryani with Mutton Chaap. For dessert we have the Shahi Tukra.
The aroma of spices along with the taste of poppy, yogurt, cashews makes chaap a perfect go with the Biryani. It is slow cooked with grated papaya which makes the meat tender and soft.
To finish with, the shahi tukra is what I have always preferred since the time I first had it in Delhi. The bread covered with thick kheer with dry fruits and the subtle aroma of saffron fills for the sweetness at the end.
