🌧️ Success Story: Rainwater Harvesting & Water Reuse 💧

In Virar city (near Mumbai), a large residential township was facing a serious potable water shortage.

Due to its location near the sea belt and government policies, municipal water was not available, and residents had to rely completely on tanker water for daily needs.

When our Jalamrut Water Treatment team visited the site, we found that an STP was already installed, but the treated water quality was not suitable for reuse. As a result, even toilet flushing depended on costly tanker water — leading to very high maintenance costs for the society.

We studied the site and proposed a rainwater harvesting and filtration system using an ring well. The idea was to collect and filter rainwater during the monsoon and reuse it for toilet flushing.

Now, the society uses clean rainwater for flushing and other non-potable needs, reducing tanker dependence and saving significant costs. The residents are happy and proud to be contributing to sustainable water management.
