A small cute outlet located just outside the ever bustling Phoenix Mills, Wowfillss has become my favorite waffle joint in Mumbai! With a handcrafted menu of belgian waffles, milkshakes and Iced Tea's, amidst the hustle bustle of the street, Wowfills, is THE place to go to post work or a shopping spree or even on the go!

It has a variety of hand crafted, pure vegetarian waffles that are perfect for that much needed sugar rush! Drizzled with a variety of toppings like nutella, maple syrup, banana and caramel, their widespread range of waffles are a tease for the tongue.

I tried out the ice cream waffle (4/5), the strawberry and cream cheese waffle (3.5/5) and their latest addition - A Belgium dark chocolate bubble waffle (5/5)

The chocolate bubble waffle (5/5) is my personal favorite and highly recommended! The bubble texture of the waffle makes it crispy and soft, all in one dish, a best of both worlds! Crispy on the sides and soft chocolate bubbles, just writing about it makes my mouth water. The waffle is then loaded with rich belgian chocolate and topped with oreos, gems, sprinkles, chocolate sticks and more! A hands down winner for best waffle at Wowfillss!

One can order the medium or large size and can order in regular or chocolate flavoured waffles! A variety of ice creams are available to go along with the waffle from vanilla, Belgian chocolate, rose petals to strawberry oreo.

Apart from that, I also tried the ice cream waffle which I customized with regular flavour waffle and vanilla ice cream. One thing I really like about Wowfillss is their ability to let me choose which flavour waffle and which flavour Ice cream I want to go along with the waffle! At Rs.140 a piece, it is a bit on the steeper side but well worth the indulgance!

The strawberry and cream cheese waffle, although really tasty, lacked consistency overall. Around the edges I found a lot of strawberry and cream cheese but as I got to the center of the waffle, it felt missing.

For the Shudh Shakaharis, you'll be glad to know Wowfillss waffles are all eggless, so no worries on that end.

which has its original restaurant in Kamala Mills, Lower Parel has recently set up its second restaurant of the city in Mulund. Located in Runwal Greens, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in all aspects.

In the drinks, I recommend the blackcurrant cooler, or the sixers, a presentation of all the 6 types of coolers (blackcurrant, kiwi, lychee, pineapple, strawberry and orange) served in shot glasses so you can try each flavour out!

To all my vegetarian foodies in this beautiful city, if you've not been to Vedge, you're doing injustice to your love for food. Tucked in Andheri at Fun Republic, this all vegetarian joint had my taste buds tingling, eye balls popping and has me already planning for a trip back to try out the other dishes in their menu!

Vedge has been open since 2014 and serves up a multi cuisine variety of dishes. From pizza (thin crust to Chicago style deep dish) to pan Asian (khow suey, Thai curry, Malaysian Rendang curry, etc) to Mexican (nachos, to our Indian (Street food, Punjabi etc)

They recently updated their menu with new dishes and invited me to come and try them out. Here are some of the dishes I tried out, and yes I recommend all of them!

Fully Loaded Nachos (4/5) - The pictures do not deceive. This cheesy nacho dish is made of homemade crisp tortilla chips, refried beans, spicy tomato salsa, sour cream, chopped black olives, chilli spiked cheese sauce, jalapeños and mix peppers. The cheese is overflowing and really make this a fun dish to devour

Chocolate Mud Pile (5/5) - A homemade EGGLESS chocolate brownie, a double scoop of vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate salt, milk chocolate sauce and mint leaves. All mashed together into a dessert so good it has me drooling thinking about it right now! 😍😍😍

Paan Supari Martini (5/5) - A unique drink, and another must try at Vedge is this Paan Supari Martini. If you like paan even a little, you are sure to enjoy this drink. Just to give idea as to how much preparation goes behind this drink, Paan is made and kept for 3 days to let the betel leaf completely soak the paan masala flavour and the juice that is extracted after 3 days is mixed with apple juice to create a refreshing Paan Supari Martini.

If there are two things we Gujjus love, they are - dancing and eating!!

Well lucky for us, this month we can enjoy both these things together!! As Navratri celebrations continue in full swing, and the garba dance goes on, I found just the place to satiate our hunger from all that dancing! Avarya!!

I recently visited Avarya, Santacruz to try out some of their various Farsaan and sweets! You HAVE to visit the store to believe the enormous variety of dhoklas, namkeens and indian sweets on display! Over 20 kinds of Dhokla from the traditional Khaman Dhokla to new variations such as Corn Mayo Dhokla, Chutney Sandwich Dhokla, Paneer Dhokla, Pizza Dhokla etc!

My personal favorite is the Schezwan Roll Dhokla, with the soft fermented batter dunked in spicy schezwan sauce! What a combo 😍

I also tried some of their freshly made Jalebi deep fried in pure kesar oil! Mmm just thinking about it makes my mouth water! 😍 they've got a ton of Desi Mithais too, from Pedas to Ladoos to Shrikhands and Halwas! Oh and for the diet conscious, worry not.. The workout in garba won't go in vain, they've got sweets in low fat sugar less options too😈

As the weekend comes to a painful end my Monday morning blues are already kicking in😣

For me, monday morning just doesn’t begin until I get some coffee into my system😩.. Sweetish House Mafia is my go to cafe to put the morning blues to rest.. A freshly brewed coffee along with the Nutella sea salt cookie 😈 Monday morning has just been turned around!
Either a neat Espresso shot (if I’m running late for work) or a Black coffee (if there are no morning meetings for me to run to 😉 ) they’ve got a wide variety of coffee to choose from!

So, how are you planning to put your monday blues to bay? Let me know in the comments section!!

PS - To sweeten the deal, get a 15% off on all their teas and coffees everyday between 9am to 12pm.. Plan the breakfast meetings accordingly 😉
