CALM IS A LEADERSHIP SKILL
Pressure is part of every serious professional role. Panic does not have to be.
Across kitchens, product launches and corporate conversations, I have repeatedly seen that the person who lowers the emotional temperature often improves the quality of the decision.

Calm leadership is not passive.
It is the ability to separate urgency from drama, communicate clearly, correct without humiliating and keep people focused on the next right action.

You do not need to be the loudest voice in the room to lead it.
Sometimes, real authority is simply the ability to make a difficult room feel more manageable.

In this second post from my Mindset Mentor Series, I share four practical shifts that can help us lead with greater clarity under pressure.

What’s My Calm?

Saying my affirmations before an important meeting.

Observing in silence before I respond.

Knowing my triggers—and not allowing them to lead the moment.

Speaking only as much as necessary.

Sharing my perspective through an email or presentation—clear enough to guide, yet open enough for individual interpretation and ex*****on.

Calm, for me, is not silence. It is clarity without unnecessary noise.

What does calm leadership look like to you?

Did you know? 23 million girls drop out of school each year in India because of something as basic as periods. 💔

They don’t have access to basic menstrual support. This should never be the reason a girl gives up on her dreams.

I’ve joined hands with Wings of Hope to support girls who deserve a fair chance at life. 🌸✨

For just ₹1500, we can give 1 girl 365 days of dignity and education through:
A year’s supply of reusable cloth pads
Counseling sessions to break taboos
Menstrual health & hygiene workshops

Join me in this mission
Together, we can rewrite their future.

Feel free to share and donate as much as possible! Even a small amount will make a difference!

When I launched Baking Mantra CAKES, I learned far more than just how a book launch works.

I learned about people.

Some friends replied within minutes. Some took a few days but still made the effort to respond. Some showed up, some couldn't make it but had the courtesy to let me know, and many new connections—people I'd barely known—reached out with warmth, encouragement, and genuine happiness.

Then there was the other side.

A few promised with complete confidence that they'd be there... and quietly disappeared. Some never replied despite reading the message. No explanation. No acknowledgement.

And strangely, I'm grateful for all of it.

It reminded me that genuine support doesn't always come from where you expect it. Sometimes it comes from strangers who become friends, while familiar names quietly fade into the background.

This carousel isn't about teaching anyone how to use WhatsApp or judging how people communicate. It's simply a reflection on what I experienced.

Communication has never been easier. A thoughtful reply, a quick "Congratulations," or even a polite "I'm sorry, I can't make it" takes only a few seconds. Life gets busy—I completely understand that. Mine certainly does too. But I've always believed that acknowledging someone's effort is a form of respect, and it's something I consciously try to practise every day.

To everyone who celebrated with me, sent a message, wished me well, bought the book, attended the launch, or simply took a moment to respond—thank you.

You helped me recognise my people.

And that's perhaps the biggest lesson this journey gave me. ❤️

Celebrating World Chocolate Day with some of my favourite chocolate bites — the kind I truly enjoy and recommend.
This post brings together a mix of old-school Mumbai favourites, warm comforting desserts, gift-worthy truffles, ice cream cravings, and a recipe from my book Baking Mantra Cakes.
Chocolate has such a beautiful way of fitting into every mood — birthdays, rainy afternoons, dessert dates, gifting, or simply that little sweet moment after a long day.
And yes, you can also bake your own chocolate bite with the Aussie Lamingtons recipe on page 94 of Baking Mantra Cakes.
