Maha-Navami- Aayudh Puja

The devas and rakshasa fought for 8 days, on the ninth day the devas achieved victory and this day is referred to as Maha Navami. On this day the devas worshipped their weapons to thank them.
Hindu culture believes in the worship of living things like trees and animals who help in our daily chores but beyond that, this culture taught me to worship and love the non-living, the machinery, and tools that accompany me at work, every day.
As an entrepreneur and mechanical engineer, I always saw my father paying his respect to the machines and tools at his workshop on Maha Navami. My come back in business is due to genes inherited from him. And I learned to face the hindrances from my beloved husband.
Thank you Papa for teaching me these small but important things like expressing gratitude towards our machines. Thank you dear husband Kiran Pawar for standing behind me and always pushing me in difficult situations.
