Having worked as a Sikkim Government employee for the past five years, I've learned one important thing: we all work to earn a living, but our dedication to our duty makes the real difference.
Some employees serve with honesty, commitment, and sincerity. Others simply occupy a position without giving their best. Yet, when retirement approaches, some seek extensions through political influence instead of stepping aside with dignity.
In my opinion, 58 years is enough time to serve and earn. Retiring on time creates opportunities for the younger generation, who are waiting for a chance to contribute with fresh energy and new ideas.
Let's respect retirement as a natural and honorable milestone, not something to avoid through excuses or influence. Every ending creates a new beginning for someone else. 😊🙏
