Hrossaræktarbúið Naust Horse breeding farm Naust is a farm on the west coast of Iceland with years of experience in breeding Icelandic horses, cows and sheeps.

This page is about the Icelandic horses who come from Naust. It all started in 1966, with the breeding mare Skjóna frá Naustum. It was Páll Torfason and Margrét Erla Hallsdóttir who started breeding horses and it has been going on ever since. Margrét is still breeding but their son, Hallur Pálsson, has taken over the farm and is taking care of the horses and also producing milk with cows. Their ot

her son Illugi G. Pálsson is also breeding horses from Naust. He is an educated trainer and a riding instructor (feif level 3). He has been working with training and teaching in Iceland, Germany, Norway and is now currently in Sweden. Their daughter Hrafnhildur Pálsdóttir, her husband and her daughters are also breeding horses from Naust, they all live in Kópavogur and have been competing on horses.
