There are dates you think will stay with you forever.

Ten years ago, on July 9, 2016, I was supposed to get married. It never happened, and for a long time I thought of that date as something I had lost.

And then life surprised me in the most unexpected way: I met you, , a man born on July 9th.

Today, that date no longer speaks of what never was.
It speaks of you.
Of us.
Of the family we’ve built together.

It’s funny how life can change the meaning of a single day. It’s unbelievable how life can take something away from you, and somehow find a way to give it back.
