🇬🇧 Gubbio truly surprised us. 🤍 At last, a place that hasn’t been discovered by mass tourism. Part of us wants to keep this hidden gem a secret… but we enjoyed it so much that we simply have to share it.

Its medieval streets, charming atmosphere, and beautiful squares make Gubbio a place you’ll quickly fall in love with. Getting around is easy thanks to the convenient public lifts, and the Funivia is an unforgettable experience—fun, unique, and definitely something you shouldn’t miss!

🇳🇱 Gubbio heeft ons echt verrast. 🤍 Eindelijk een plek die nog niet is overspoeld door het massatoerisme. Eigenlijk zouden we dit verborgen pareltje het liefst voor onszelf houden… maar we hebben hier zó genoten dat we het gewoon moeten delen.

De middeleeuwse straatjes, de gezellige sfeer en de prachtige pleinen maken dit stadje echt bijzonder. En dankzij de handige liftjes verplaats je je moeiteloos door de hoogteverschillen. De Funivia is absoluut een aanrader: een unieke en vooral ontzettend leuke ervaring die je niet mag missen!

🇬🇧 What a week! 🤩

From famous landmarks to hidden gems. We visited Plitvice Lakes, but honestly… the Štrbački Buk waterfalls on the Una River in Bosnia completely stole the show. 💙

We found our favourite campsite by the Una, spent the evenings roasting marshmallows by the fire, spotted dolphins along the Croatian coast, enjoyed the best pastries in Trieste and explored Venice before the crowds arrived.

We also discovered that Italian weather and public transport don’t always follow the plan… 😅 Luckily, those moments didn’t last long.

We finished the week relaxing by the pool and the beach in Chioggia. Now it’s time for San Marino. Let’s see what next week has in store! 🚐✨

🇳🇱 Wat een week! 🤩

Van bekende highlights tot verborgen parels. We begonnen bij de Plitvicemeren, maar eerlijk is eerlijk… de Štrbački Buk-watervallen aan de Una in Bosnië maakten veel meer indruk. 💙

Aan de Una vonden we ook onze mooiste kampeerplek tot nu toe, met kampvuur en marshmallows tot laat. 🔥 We spotten dolfijnen langs de Kroatische kust, aten de lekkerste gebakjes in Triëst en struinden vroeg in de ochtend door Venetië, voordat de grote drukte begon.

We leerden dat het Italiaanse weer én openbaar vervoer soms hun eigen planning hebben. 😅 Gelukkig duurde dat niet lang.

De week sloten we ontspannen af in Chioggia, aan het zwembad en het strand. Nu op naar San Marino. Benieuwd wat volgende week ons brengt! 🚐✨

🇳🇱 Wat vliegt de tijd als je onderweg bent! ✨

Ook deze week is weer omgevlogen. We begonnen in het prachtige Innsbruck, stonden vol bewondering bij de indrukwekkende Peričnik-waterval in Slovenië – zonder twijfel een van de mooiste watervallen van Europa. 💦

Het Meer van Bled voelde als een sprookje, met zijn idyllische eilandje en berglandschap. 🏞️ In Ljubljana genoten we van gezellige terrassen, slenterden we over de levendige markt en proefden we de ontspannen sfeer van de stad. ☀️

Als kers op de taart vierden we de verjaardag van Morris op Kamp Natura in Slovenië. 🥳🎂 Een week vol prachtige plekken, mooie herinneringen en samen genieten.

Op naar het volgende avontuur! ❤️

Another amazing week has flown by. We started in beautiful Innsbruck before visiting the breathtaking Peričnik Waterfall in Slovenia—without a doubt one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Europe. 💦

Lake Bled looked like something straight out of a fairytale, with its picturesque island and stunning mountain backdrop. 🏞️ In Ljubljana, we enjoyed relaxing on sunny terraces, wandered through the lively market, and soaked up the city’s charming atmosphere. ☀️

To top it all off, we celebrated Morris’ birthday at Kamp Natura in Slovenia. 🥳🎂 A week filled with incredible places, unforgettable memories, and quality time together.

Woke up today to find it’s our youngest’s 7th birthday! This is going to be brilliant. 🥳
