Insolito 2024 by (link in reel) is an expressive organic orange wine made in Tuscany region 🇮🇹 from Trebbiano variety. It reflects the terroir through skin contact maceration, giving a richer texture, aromatic complexity, and a distinctive golden-amber hue.

📝 On the nose, it was certainly expressive and layered: aromas of geranium leaf, dried apricot, walnut, orange peel, quince and chamomile led the way, followed by subtle notes of honeycomb, toasted almond, and wild herbs. A gentle hint of tea leaves, hay and a light oxidation added complexity without heaviness. On the palate, the main flavours were of bruised apple, turmeric and orange zest. It was medium to full-bodied, with lively acidity and quite perceptible tannins. The finish was medium-long and savoury. The combination of fruitiness and herbal nuance provided an engaging tasting experience.
This wine can certainly improve with some bottle ageing, 1-2 years should be enough.

If you enjoy expressive, organic wines with character and aromatic complexity this is the wine for you.
