Dine Afro-Italo is more than a dinner. It’s a journey; one you don’t just taste, but witness from beginning to end.

From the kitchen, where stories begin to take shape…
to the quiet focus of plating each dish…
to the table, where everything comes together and is shared.

It’s storytelling, not only through words, but through movement, aroma, and process. You see the ingredients transform, you feel the intention behind each step, and then you experience it fully together.

Each menu is a passage through time, rooted in traditional Nigerian and Italian dishes, reimagined through my lens. A conversation between cultures, carried from the stove to the plate, and finally to you.

Last Friday’s first course, Ukodo Merluzzo, carried that journey beautifully. A southern Nigerian pepper soup, reimagined with fresh cod, layered, refined, and finished with an Italian touch.

This is Dine Afro-Italo.
A journey you can see, feel, and taste.

The face of a chef that gave it her all and will do it all over again. 2025 was the year I leaned into the different facets of my culinary work, from restaurant, pop-up events and show kitchen. Thanks to all my collaborators this year, I look forward to continue working with some of you. Grateful for Gods undeserving grace & mercies to steward Dine Afro-Italo Ruemu Food & Co. and The Grand Afro Brunch and to everyone that supported my projects❤️ - anyways this 5’9, brown eyed lady will see you all in 2026👩🏽‍🍳. Buon Anno!🥂

A couple weeks ago, we hosted the first Dine Afro-Italo Supper Club of the season, and I’m still energised by the conversations, the curiosity, and the connections created around the table.

What began as a passion for telling food stories rooted in Nigerian and Italian culinary heritage, has grown into a space where people gather to learn, share, and experience culture through flavour.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to House of Finemateria for opening their beautiful space to this vision. I’m proud to continue building this project and creating moments that bring people together in meaningful ways.

If you’d like to follow along or join a future dinner, you’ll find more on Dine Afro-Italo

Just a chef in her zone🧑🏽‍🍳 a.k.a. a female culinarian in her natural habitat (pretty sure that’s how they’d say it on Nat Geo😅)

Jokes aside, this is me doing what I love. I pour my heart and soul into every dish, whether it’s a nourishing meal plan, intimate dinner, or an exquisite banquet.

Last month, I had the deep honour of sharing a part of my heart and heritage through “Senza Olio di Palma – African Diet Bias”, a lecture and dinner exploring the cultural, spiritual, and political life of palm oil in African foodways.

Held at .g.testaccio_hub and hosted by the incredible team at , I had the joy of guiding guests through a 3-course Dine Afro-Italo dinner, each dish designed to start conversations, evoke memory, and bridge traditions between Nigeria and Italy.

From Akara-stuffed zucchini flowers fried in palm oil and Plantain Ciabatta bread glazed with palm oil, to Cod & Okra served with okra seed & palm oil cream, to a baobab pannacotta with palm oil cookie crumble; this was more than a menu, it was a reclaiming.

I want to thank for believing in this vision, for making space for these stories, and for holding community with such care.
To .g.testaccio_hub and Chef thank you for opening your kitchen and collaborating with such curiosity and generosity.
And to everyone who came, tasted, listened, and shared, thank you! This night reminded me that food can be resistance, remembrance, and radical joy all at once.

“Senza Olio di Palma – African Diet Bias” explores the complex dynamics between food culture, politics, and identity through the lens of a key ingredient: palm oil.
In Collaboration with .g.testaccio_hub, we reflect on the intersection of food, sustainability, and cultural heritage, comparing Nigerian and Italian foodways to reclaim the cultural and nutritional value of palm oil amidst global controversy.
A dialogue between West Africa and Italy, between palm oil and olive oil, between history, sustainability, and taste.

Recently updated my menu comprising of all the dishes I’ve served at my supper clubs thus far (swipe to see). I’m amazed that till date every guest that walked through my doors came in not knowing what to expect as every dinner offered a blind tasting menu and I believe everyone left satisfied & enlightened(correct me if I’m wrong😌). Thank you for trusting this one woman army backed by God. A couple more Supper clubs to go and can’t wait to see you at the next one🗓️
