98 points! 🤯🍷

Our 2023 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon recently earned 98 points and Double Gold at the Sunset International Wine Competition!

A huge thank you to everyone who’s supported Shumacher Wines—from buying a bottle to joining our wine club. Getting to share this journey with all of you has been the best part.

Our new Cabernet Sauvignon comes from one of Napa Valley’s most historic and coveted sites in Rutherford, and today the vineyard remains one of Napa Valley’s benchmark sources for powerful, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon. This legendary vineyard site, combined with one of the best vintage years in recent history, produced an expressive, ultra-premium wine with layers of black cherry, cassis, blackberry, cocoa, cedar, graphite, and subtle dried herbs. The palate is full-bodied and polished, with concentrated dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and the unmistakable earthy elegance often known as Rutherford Dust. Rich, structured, and beautifully balanced, it finishes long with notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, and warm spice.

This is our most prestigious Cabernet Sauvignon to date, and it is extremely limited production. We can’t wait to share it with you! 🍷

We’re officially down to just 6 spots left for our Tuscany and Umbria trip next May! 🍷

We’ll be spending the week at a beautiful villa overlooking Lake Trasimeno, visiting small family-run wineries, exploring hill towns, making pasta, hunting for truffles, and ending our days with long dinners and plenty of wine.

We wanted this trip to feel relaxed, personal, and different from the typical group tour, and we’re so excited about the group that’s already coming together.

July 31 is the final day to receive the €200-per-person early bird discount, so this is the best time to reserve one of the remaining spots.

We shared our Italy trip just a week ago, and 8 of the 18 spots are already booked!

It’s been so fun hearing from everyone who is excited to come with us. We’re keeping the group intentionally small, which means there are now just 10 spots left. Early-bird pricing is only available through July 31, so now is the best time to reserve one of the 10 remaining spots.

This trip is all about slowing down and experiencing Italy the way we love it, long meals, small wineries, beautiful towns, and plenty of time to actually enjoy where we are. We’re genuinely so excited to share this part of Italy with the group.

Last night’s winemakers’ dinner at Two Travelers Wine Bar + Merchant was so fun🍷

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for such a special evening. It meant the world to share our wines, the stories behind them, and a beautiful menu from Chef Patrick and the Two Travelers team.

We poured through our newest releases, shared our unreleased 2023 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as a special bonus pour, and got to spend the evening doing exactly what we love most: bringing people together over food, wine, and good conversation.

A huge thank you to Shannon Cole, Patrick Ruiz, Nathan Rivera, Anthony B. Cosio and the entire Two Travelers team for hosting us, and to everyone who joined us for making it such a great night 🥂

We’re going to Italy and we’d love for you to come with us! 🇮🇹🍷

From May 5-11, 2027, we’ll be hosting a small group of Shumacher Wines club members and friends for a week in Tuscany and Umbria filled with family-run wineries, medieval hill towns, cooking classes, truffle hunting, olive oil tasting, and chef-prepared meals.

Tuscany has always been one of the most meaningful places for us. We both studied abroad there in college, have been back to Italy many times since, and it’s where we first truly fell in love with wine. Long before Shumacher Wines existed, some of our favorite wine memories happened in Italy and this trip is our chance to share that experience with you.

We’ll be staying at a beautiful villa overlooking Lake Trasimeno and visiting places like Pienza, Montepulciano, Siena, and Cortona. We will be traveling with the group as your hosts, tasting alongside you and helping create the same relaxed, thoughtful, wine-centered experience we love bringing to our events. The trip is limited to just 18 guests and spots have already started to be reserved.

Last summer, we held our launch party at Two Travelers, so it feels very fitting to be back there this year for a winemaker pairing dinner!

We’ve been big fans of Two Travelers since they opened here in Temecula, and we’re proud to call everyone there our friends. We’ve always appreciated how thoughtful they are with wine, food, and hospitality, so we’re so excited to be collaborating with them on a multi-course pairing dinner.

On Tuesday, June 30th, we’ll be pouring a new lineup of Shumacher wines alongside a thoughtfully crafted menu from Chef Patrick, with each dish created to highlight the wine in the glass. The evening will feature our 2025 Los Carneros Sauvignon Blanc, 2025 Clements Hills Albariño, 2022 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2023 Sonoma Valley Blanc de Blancs Méthode Champenoise.

We’re so excited to share these wines with you and tell you more about the special vineyards where the grapes are sourced. We’d love to have you join us for an evening of food, wine, some raffle prizes, and good friends!

Our 2025 Sauvignon Blanc is finally here! 🍋🌿

This wine comes from the Los Carneros AVA in Napa Valley, where the cooling influence from the bay helps preserve the freshness and natural acidity that we love in Sauvignon Blanc.

The wine is bright and mineral-driven, with layers of citrus, fresh herbs, and a subtle saline note that makes it incredibly easy to come back to for another glass. We wanted this wine to feel refreshing and vibrant, while still having texture and depth.

This release is a favorite of ours, and we’re excited to finally share it with you!

Last night’s wine club dinner was one of those evenings that reminds us exactly why we do this. A table full of amazing people, great conversation, and wines that came even more alive alongside the homemade food. Watching everyone connect with each other (and with the wines) is the best part of what we get to do!

Thank you to our club members for joining us on this journey and making these evenings so memorable.

We’re so excited to announce the release of 2 new white wines for this spring! ✨
First up, we have our 2025 Albariño. This comes from the organically farmed Terra Alta Vineyard in the Clements Hills AVA in Lodi, where warm days and cool evenings allow for full flavor development while preserving natural acidity. A long, even growing season gave us beautiful balance and freshness, and the wine shows it—bright and lively with aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, honeydew, and white flowers. On the palate, you’ll find notes of lime, peach, nectarine, and pear, all wrapped in crisp acidity and a clean, refreshing finish.
