Lien & Enrico, a Belgian-Italian couple, both working for an international medical humanitarian organization. When not on missions abroad, we love to host dinners at home for friends and family. It’s from this simple joy that our cooking experience was born. We wanted to create something personal: a way to welcome and meet people from all over the world, share our love for good food, wine, and hospitality, and give a real taste of Italian life. We’re not running a business; we’re opening our home. If you’re looking for something real, simple, and full of heart, you’re in the right place.

⏰ Start at 5 pm: explore the city during the day, cook and dine with us in the evening

WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

We don’t want you to leave saying you’ve taken a cooking class.

We want you to leave feeling you’ve spent an evening in an Italian home.

That’s why we do things differently.

🏡 We welcome you into our own home, not a restaurant or commercial venue.

🍷 Wine is part of the experience. Instead of serving a few glasses of house wine, we’ll open three different bottles of regional wine, carefully selected by Enrico, who’s sommelier. When you leave, you’ll take home a bottle of your favourite.

👨‍🍳 We keep our groups small and host no more than three classes each week. This allows us to cook, sit down together for dinner and finish the evening talking around the table.

❤️ This isn’t about hosting as many guests as possible. It’s about welcoming people into our home and creating an experience you’ll remember.

This is one of the comments we hear most often after our cooking experiences, and honestly, it’s the nicest compliment we could receive.

When we started Cooking experience Verona, our idea was never to create just another cooking class. We simply wanted to invite people into our home, spend an afternoon and evening cooking, eating, drinking a good glass of wine, and sharing stories around the table. In a small group, without rushing, just enjoying good food and good company.

During the experience, we’ll prepare two types of fresh pasta and tiramisù together, enjoy a real Italian aperitivo, and Enrico, who’s sommelier, will share a little about his greatest passion: the wines and wine regions around Verona. Afterwards, we simply sit down together on our terrace and enjoy everything we’ve made.

Nothing fancy. Just people around a table, the Italian way!

Did you know that the Verona region is home to some of Italy’s most famous wines? Amarone. Valpolicella. Soave. Lugana. Bardolino. Custoza... and that’s only the beginning. 😉

Ever found yourself staring at an Italian wine list with absolutely no idea what to choose?

Or maybe you’d love to bring home a few really good bottles, but you’d rather avoid the big commercial wineries and discover the places where local families have been making wine for generations?

Or perhaps you simply like the idea of spending a morning or afternoon driving through beautiful vineyard landscapes, tasting wines without having to worry about who’s driving afterwards. 🚐

That’s exactly why we started organising our wine tours!

Being born and raised in Verona, Enrico knows the area like the back of his hand. As a sommelier, he’s always happy to share his passion for the wines of the region, And don’t worry, he won’t turn it into a heavy lecture. 😉 Think of it as meeting new friends who love good food, good wine and showing you their favourite places!

No fixed programme. No rushed schedule. No tourist buses.

Instead, we’ll create a personalised itinerary just for you, based on your interests and preferences. We’ll pick you up from your accommodation and take you to one or more wineries!

One of the nicest parts of what we do is meeting people from all over the world.

Two days ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming a lovely group from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Norway 🇳🇴 into our home. We spent the afternoon making fresh pasta, enjoyed an Italian aperitivo, shared local wines while Enrico introduced everyone to the wines of the Veneto region, enjoyed homemade tiramisù, and had lots of great conversations around the table.

Sometimes we stop and realise how lucky we are to have created this experience from scratch, allowing us to combine our passion for food, wine and hospitality while meeting such wonderful people along the way.
