Get ready to make the cutest sushi for Hinamatsuri 🍣

🎎What is Hinamatsuri?🎎
Hinamatsuri (Doll’s Festival or Girls’ Day) is a traditional Japanese celebration held on March 3rd. Families with daughters display beautiful Hina dolls dressed in traditional court attire to wish for their girls’ health, happiness, and growth🎎
Special foods like chirashi sushi, hina-arare (colorful rice crackers), and hishimochi (diamond-shaped rice cakes) are often enjoyed on this day.
This time, our chef has created an adorable sushi recipe perfect for such a special occasion🌸
 
PIETRO Chef’s Special Recipe🇯🇵
Inari Sushi
celebrating Hinamatsuri with Hina Doll charm

👨‍🍳Whether you’re preparing it for the special girls in your family or simply brightening up a spring party, this recipe is guaranteed to make everyone smile.
 
Ingredients 🍴
Sweet Tofu Pockets (Inari age): 4 pieces
Cooked Rice: 150 g
PIETRO DRESSING  SHOYU: 1 Tablespoon (15mL)
Boiled Spinach: As Needed
Thinly Sliced Omelet (Kinshi Tamago): As Needed
Thinly Sliced Deli Ham: As Needed
Roasted Seaweed: As Needed
 
How to cook 🍳
1. Mix the warm rice with the dressing in a bowl, then divide it into 4 equal parts.
2. Gently squeeze out the excess liquid from the inari tofu pockets. Fill each pocket with one portion of the sushi rice, shaping it so that the back side is slightly higher than the front.
3. Place the toppings in order—boiled spinach, Thinly Sliced Omelet, then ham—to dress your little Hina dolls. Finish by adding hair and faces with pieces of roasted seaweed.
 
Making the faces is fun for both kids and adults—even if they don’t turn out perfect, that’s part of the charm😆✨
It’s a great activity to enjoy together at a party🕺
 
If you have leftover ingredients or want to create something other than Hina dolls, feel free to get creative and use whatever you like👍
Try cutting ham into cherry blossom shapes or rolling it into tiny roses🌹
These playful touches add extra charm and color to your festive spread!

Let's cook Ehomaki🙌
👨‍🍳A cute twist on classic Ehomaki- great for kids and celebrations! Fill it with anything you like.

🍴Ingredients
For the filling 🐟🥑
-Canned Tuna: 100 g
-Avocado (diced) : 1 piece (100 g)
-Mayonnaise: 30 g
-PIETRO Dressing SHOYU: 30 mL
 
For the thin omelet 🍳
-Egg: 2 (1 egg per thin omelet sheet)
-Vegetable Oil: As needed  
-Roasted Seaweed (Nori) : As needed
PIETRO Dressing SHOYU: 10mL
 
For the rice and toppings 🍚
-Cooked Rice: 80g x 2
-Roasted Seaweed (Nori) : 2
-Cucumber … 1/8 piece x 2
-PIETRO Dressing SHOYU: As needed

For the carrot rapée🥕
-Carrot: 1
-Salt: A pinch
-PIETRO Dressing SHOYU: 30 mL
 
🍳Preparation: Have all the ingredients ready.
🥕Carrot Rapée (Carrot Salad)  🥕
Peel and slice the carrot. Add a pinch of salt, gently massage it, and let it sit for about 10 mins.
Squeeze out the excess moisture using a paper towel, add the dressing and mix well. Refrigerate before serving.

🐟️Tuna and Avocado filling🥑
Place the tuna, avocado, mayonnaise, and dressing in a bowl and mix thoroughly.

🍳How to cook
1. Make the “oni pants–pattern thin omelet.”
Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the dressing, and mix well.
Cut the roasted nori into thin strips to resemble a tiger pattern.

2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat with a little vegetable oil.
Pour in half of the egg mixture from step 1 and spread it evenly.
Turn off the heat once, arrange the cut nori strips on top,
then heat again until the egg is fully cooked.
Remove it from the pan.

3. Place the thin omelet from step 2 on a sheet of plastic wrap with the tiger pattern facing down.
On top of it, add the nori for topping, spread the rice, drizzle with dressing, then add cucumber, carrot rapee, and the tuna-avocado filling.

👨‍🍳For a clean finish, trim or fold in any part of the egg that extends past the nori.

Have you ever tried Japanese rolled omelet (Atsuyaki Tamago)? 🥚🥪

It’s a delicious recipe whether you eat it on its own or make it into a tamago (egg) sandwich. 

Perfect for anyone craving Japanese cuisine or looking for a picnic-friendly sandwich idea! 😋
While turning it into a sandwich might be a bit unusual, rolled omelets themselves are a beloved staple in Japanese bento lunches.
 
The seasoning can vary from family to family, but using dressing makes it easy to whip up something tasty. 
Even though the ingredients are similar, this recipe has a unique twist compared to the convenience store-style egg sandwiches—pretty fun, right?
Give it a try!
 

🍴Ingredients
Vegetable Oil: As needed
Egg (Large size): 3
8-slice Sandwich Bread: 2 slices
Mustard Mayonnaise*: 20 g
PIETRO DRESSING  SHOYU: 30 mL
Point
*If you don’t have mustard mayo, mixing 20g of mayo with 3g of mustard works just fine!
 
🍳How to cook
1. Add eggs and dressing to a bowl, and mix well.
2. Add a small amount of vegetable oil to a frying pan and heat it over medium heat. Pour one-fifth of the egg mixture (about 40cc), and when the surface is slightly set but still soft, fold it in half. Repeat this process about four times, gradually rolling the omelet. Once cooked, let it cool slightly for about 10 minutes.
3. Trim the crusts off the bread and spread mustard mayonnaise evenly across the surface. Place the rolled omelet on top, and sandwich it with another slice of bread spread with mustard mayonnaise. Cut into bite-sized pieces for serving.

Everyone loves potatoes, right? 🥔

A potato recipe that brings out the rich flavor and fun crispy texture of potatoes.

Perfect as a little snack for the holiday season!
It's sure to be a hit with both kids and adults.😋
Give it a try!
 
🍴Ingredients
Potatoes: 130 g (1 Medium Potato)
Salt and Black Pepper: To taste
Potato Starch: 3 g
Olive Oil: 15 mL (1 tablespoon)
Unsalted Butter: 10 g
PIETRO DRESSING  ROASTED SESAME: As needed
Parsley: As needed
 
🍳How to cook
1. Peel the potato, rinse it briefly, and cut it into thin strips. Add salt, black pepper, and potato starch, then mix well.
Note: Do not rinse the potato after shredding, as the starch is needed for binding.

2. Heat some olive oil in a frying pan. Spread the potato mixture (from step 1) into a round shape in the pan. Cook over medium to low heat, gently pressing down with a spatula from time to time, until golden and crispy.

3. Once the bottom is golden brown, flip it over and add unsalted butter to the pan. Cook the other side over medium to low heat, gently pressing with a spatula from time to time, until crispy and golden. (About 3 minutes)

4. When the second side is nicely browned, flip it over once more. Slightly raise the heat and cook for about 2 minutes, moving the pan gently to crisp up the surface. Once the top is golden and crispy, place it crispy-side up on a plate, drain any excess oil, and let it cool slightly. (Cooling time: about 3 minutes)

5. Cut the galette into bite-sized pieces and place them on a serving plate. Drizzle dressing over the top, and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

🍴Ingredients for 2 servings:
・Kokusan Komugi Marugoto Hoso-Udon : 200 g in dry weight (1 bag)
・Your favorite Vegetables and Toppings such as Meat, Eggs, etc.
・PIETRO Dressing SHOYU or ORIGINAL SESAME: 60 mL

🍳How to cook:
1.Cook the udon noodles, drain in a colander, rinse with cold water, and remove excess moisture.
2. Place the noodles in a serving bowl, top with your favorite vegetables or meat.
3. Drizzle with dressing.
