Thank you so much to our visitors in August. Lots of pots, lots of schooners, lots of laughs!

With the Obon summer holiday giving most people around Japan a week off work, we were pleased to see drinkers coming from lots of interesting places.
Thanks also to our neighbours around Kokubu for stopping for a beer and a chat.

We had a busy few days picking our hops and our Fresh Hop 2026 brew should be ready later in the month. Please check back!

Thank you, as always, to bottle shops and bars that have bought cans, kegs of our new (and regular) brews this month.

Hopefully a cool change in weather coming soon. We will be attending 3 events this month so please take a look at our calendar.

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT

This weekend, we will be attending

[ Ville by Fukuya ] who are holding the event, Table Stories

on Saturday, September 5 & Sunday, September 6 for the opening event for their unique lifestyle store in Kōchi city.

Saturday evening is a hosted dinner party with reservations essential, while Sunday is an open day with lots of interesting vendors attending.

We will be serving our craft beer on tap and in cans on both days.

PAULのネーミングに由来されたイギリスのPaul’s Malt社のペールモルトを使用。清涼感ある淡い色味と、クリアでキレのある味わいがのどを潤してくれます。アウトドアシーンにぴったりの一杯です♪

Style: Double India Pale Ale

HOPS: Sabro, Cryo Ekuanot

イギリスの伝統的な麦芽Maris Otterを贅沢に使用したDouble India Pale Ale。はちみつのような甘みとコク、香ばしく奥深いテイストをじっくり味わいながら豊かなひとときをお過ごしください。

Thank you so much to everyone that came to our taproom from around Kōchi prefecture, and around Japan, in the month of August!
I hope everyone enjoyed the Night Market, too!!

Thank you again to bottle shops and bars that have bought cans, kegs of our new (and regular) brews this month.

We have 3 all new brews coming in August, so please check back for exact release dates.

The weather is looking to be very hot this year with record temperatures recorded around the country so if you need a place to get a cold beer and relax, the Kokubu taproom is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

ホップ名のRAKAU（RICA）、MOTUEKA（MOCA）からネーミングしたHOPPY SISTERS がラベルデザインに。

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT

This Saturday, July 11, we will be pouring beers at the “Night Market for Grown Ups” with all the Kōchi breweries in the Harimayacho area.

We are bringing some all new brews for this event!!

There will be over 20 different beers on tap from the 7 breweries currently open in the prefecture!
Bottles and cans will be available also!

It’s a great neighbourhood with lots of trendy shops and establishments.

The beers will be flowing from 4pm to 9pm so please come down and support the Kōchi Craft Breweries.

Please note, Kokubu taproom will be open from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, July 11.

A few typhoons but thankfully no interruptions to the brewery or taproom.

Thank you so much, as always, to all the people who visited during the rain and heat in June!

Thank you also to bottle shops and bars that have bought cans, kegs & bottles of Hop Tea!

We have 3 or 4 brews coming this month (with some new additions to our lineup!)
Please check back for more information in the next few weeks!!

We will be pouring beers with all the other Kōchi breweries on July 11 for the Saturday Night Market in Kōchi city. Please come and say hi if you are in the area.

July is usually a pressure cooker month here in Kōchi, high temperatures and very high humidity.
If you are looking for a place to get a cold beer and relax, the Kokubu taproom is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

『ヒルマノパパ』
Style : Modern Lager
ABV：5.5 %　IBU：20
Hops：Pink Boots
Can : 350ml

今回の新商品は、Wayfarerでは初となるLager。
伝統的なドイツ産とベルギー産の麦に、New-ageなアメリカンホップを組み合わせたModern Lager。
親しみのあるクリアで爽快感あるLagerに、3種類のホップをブレンドしたPink Bootsをアクセントに仕上げました♪

私の父は、帰ってくる子どもたちに「おかえり」といつでも言ってあげたかったから、自分で仕事を始めたと聞きました。
家では私をくすぐったり替え歌を歌ったり愉快な父でしたが、仕事をしている時は無口で、汗を流しながら黙々と作業している後ろ姿が記憶に残っています。
同じ立場になった今、その背中には誰にも見えない大きな責任を背負っていたことが分かりました。

ヒルマノパパはちょっとちがう。
光ってる。いい汗かいてる。かっこいい。

今回のラベルデザインはタップルームにも飾ってある黒電話にメモ帳とボールペン。
古き良き昭和の仕事風景をイメージしました。

イメージショットは公衆電話BOXにて。
ブルワーが初めて来日した90年代、コインやテレカを握りしめ、駅の公衆電話に列をつくっていた営業マンの姿が印象的で、まさに日本の働く姿だったようです。

そして、もうひとつ。
古き良き休日のヒルマノパパは新聞読みながら、枝豆とLagerですよね！

『ヒルマノパパ』は日々誰かのために頑張って働いている皆さんに飲んでもらいたい、爽快で染み渡るLagerです。

New-age American hops combined with traditional Belgian and German malts makes this lager perfect for all occasions.
