🌱 Promoting Practical Solutions for Food Preservation
Native Bounty Kenya was proud to take part in a three-day Training of Trainers Workshop on Clay Pot Coolers for Fruit and Vegetable Preservation, held from 14–16 September 2026 in collaboration with Seed Savers Network, Food Forest Collab, and CoolVeg.
The training combined knowledge sharing, practical hands-on sessions, and field demonstrations on the use and assembly of clay pot coolers as a simple, locally appropriate technology for extending the shelf life of fruits and vegetables and reducing post-harvest losses. Participants also engaged in field-based training with local communities, reflecting on lessons learned and developing plans for wider training and impact evaluation. Through such collaborations, Native Bounty Kenya continues to support agroecological practices, food preservation, and resilient local food systems. 🌿🥬🍅
