Process of Making Tithonia Liquid Fertilizer.
Step 1.
Cut the dark green Tithonia leaves into pieces.
Step 2.
Have a 20 litre bucket with a lid. Fill in half of the bucket with the
chopped Tithonia leaves.
Step 3.
Add 10litres of clean water in the bucket.
Step 4.
Cover the bucket with the lid.
Step 5.
Stir the mixture thoroughly every 3 days.
Step 6.
After 2 weeks the liquid will have turned dark and most of the nutrients will be dissolved in it. It is ready for use.
Step 7.
Sieve the mixture using a piece of cotton cloth to remove the residues. The liquid obtained is the Tithonia liquid fertilizer.
Step 8.
Dilute the Tithonia liquid fertilizer at a ratio 1:2. That is 1 litre of Tithonia liquid fertilizer dilute with 2litres of water.
Step 9.
Apply the liquid fertilizer on the soil around the plant (irrigate) and not on the leaves of the vegetables. Irrigate your vegetables with this liquid fertilizer three times per week for foProcess of Making Tithonia Liquid Fertilizer.
