from instinct to intent - reading each expression by
nose, by hand, by time. For The 1931 Collection, that
craft has been carried through eight decades of
maturation, honouring the spirit first laid down in 1931.

The 1931 Collection, 12 Year Old.

Curated by our Malt Master, Kelsey McKechnie, and shaped in the same spirit as the Eighty-Eight-Year-Old - distilled from 100% home malted barley, matured in American oak and finished in ex-Sherry European oak butts from Jerez, Spain.

Notes of honeyed sweetness, mellow vanilla and warming spice, drawn out over twelve years of patient maturation.

Distilled at The Balvenie in 1931 and captured by the intuition of our Malt Master, Kelsey McKechnie, as a rare expression of our living legacy. A sensorial experience - rich aromatic oak flowing into creamy toffee, velvety honey and warming spice, revealing deep heather and woodland ferns.

The halo expression of the collection, housed in a time-worn relic reimagined by - cast in bronze and verdigris, his artistic echo of eight decades of maturation.
