The husband and wife team of Joi & Noelle Simmaly conceptualized the e-commerce site after many travels to Asia. They were both inspired by their individual personal journeys as Lao refugees and their deep connection to the Lao culture. Their mission is to share pieces of this journey by making available to everyone the many items that represent the Lao culture in all

its beauty. Talaatsao.com is an e-commerce marketplace that patrons will find some items imported from the many regions of Laos for sale. Talaat Sao means “morning market” which is where you will find many eclectic items produced by the local people of Laos. Besides delicious street market style food, there are garments, fabric, fashion wear, toys, kitchenware, utensils, and jewelry. Talaat Sao is also the only place to exclusively feature Spicy Joi Lao Food items in any marketplace. As proprietor and founder of Spicy Joi LLC, Joi has dedicated his cooking talents to create, preserve, and share some of the best Lao food products he knows and make it available only at Talaatsao.com.
