🇱🇧 Healthy Eating on a Budget:

1.Plan your meals :
You can Plan your weekly meals before shopping. This helps you buy only what you need and avoid wasting money.

2. Choose affordable Lebanese foods :
We go for lentils, chickpeas, foul, beans, eggs, labneh, bulgur, rice, potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. They are nutritious, filling, and budget-friendly.

3. Buy seasonal produce :
Choose fruits and vegetables that are in season. They are often fresher, tastier, and less expensive.

4. Cook at home :
Homemade meals such as mujaddara, fasolia, and vegetable stews can be healthier and cheaper.

5. Reduce food waste :
Use leftovers creatively. Leftover rice, vegetables, or chicken can become a salad, omelet, soup, or another meal.

6. Choose water :
Drink water instead of soft drinks and processed juices. It’s healthier and saves money.

7.Limit expensive processed foods :
Reduce spending on chips, sweets, fast food, and sugary drinks. Choose simple, nutritious foods instead.

8.Choose bread wisely :
Whole-wheat or whole-grain Lebanese bread can be a good everyday option.

9.Use meat as an ingredient, not the whole meal :
Add a smaller amount of chicken or meat to dishes with lentils, vegetables, or grains.

10.Don’t overdo olive oil :
Olive oil is nutritious, but measuring it helps both your health and your budget.

11.Watch the small daily expenses :
Coffee, juices, snacks, and delivery can quietly take a big bite out of your monthly budget. Dm Aklitna Diet Center by Rafif Rached for consultations and more tips.

Chocolate Around the World!!!
July 7 highlights chocolate in its many forms in more styles and yummy recipes.

Key 2026 recommendations include:
* Supports heart health: May improve blood vessel function, slightly lower blood pressure, and support healthy circulation.
* Improve brain function: Increased blood flow may benefit memory, focus, and cognitive performance.
* Boost mood: Contains compounds that may stimulate the release of endorphins and serotonin-related pathways, helping you feel happier.
* Help insulin sensitivity: Some studies suggest cocoa flavanols can improve how the body responds to insulin.
* Reduce inflammation: The plant compounds in cocoa have anti-inflammatory properties.

* Let’s go beyond that :
🍫Good source of minerals and other ingredients :
* Magnesium : Aids in sleep
* Iron for energy and oxygen transport,
* zinc for immunity and recovery,
* potassium for muscles and heart health.
* phosphorus for energy production and strong bones.
* Rich in flavanols, powerful antioxidants that support heart health, along with theobromine and a small amount of caffeine to promote alertness and improve mood.
Enjoy :
* Choose dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa.
* Keep portions small. Around 20–30 g (about 1 ounce) per serving is commonly recommended.
* Limit added sugars and ultra-processed foods. Chocolate with lots of sugar, caramel, or other added ingredients provides fewer health benefits. . DM us for more tips and appointments: online and in Clinic.
