My journey with this Kohaku began when I purchased it from Sakai Fish Farm as a 37 cm Tosai. From the very beginning, I believed in its potential and dedicated myself to providing the best possible care, including maintaining excellent water quality, proper nutrition, and a healthy environment.
Over time, this beautiful Kohaku achieved an incredible transformation, growing from 37 cm to an impressive 76 cm while developing outstanding body conformation, skin quality, and overall presence. Watching this fish mature has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my koi-keeping journey.
The highlight of that journey came when this Kohaku earned the Reserve Champion title at the KTA Grow-Out Competition 2026. This achievement is a proud milestone and a testament to the importance of quality bloodlines, patience, dedication, and consistent koi husbandry.
We take this opportunity to congratulate the first-ever Reserve Champion of the Grow Out Koi Championship in Sri Lanka.
