Breaking News: Executive Mansion on Fire!

Early this morning, a fire broke out at the Executive Mansion, the official residence of the President of Liberia, located in the capital city, Monrovia.

Witnesses reported seeing heavy smoke rising from the top of the building, sparking alarm among residents. Firefighter and emergency responders are currently at the scene working to contain the blaze.
At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown, and there has been no official statement from authorities. The extent of the damage and whether there are any casualties remain unclear.

River Gee County Sports Steering Committee has signed Humphrey Grugbaye ahead of the 2024/2025 National County Sports Meet. The signing ceremony of goalkeeper Grugbaye recently took place in Monrovia. Last season, the experienced shot stopper was River Gee County first choice goalkeeper when she won her first National County Sports Meet trophy.

During that process, Humphrey Grugbaye kept 3 clean sheets from 6 matches, and conceded 4 goals along the way, with Lofa County scoring two of those goals in the grand final at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex. Defending champions, River Gee, is paired in Group 'D' with host Grand Cape Mount and Nimba Counties, as all matches will be played in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County, when the competition resumes in December.

Girl, 16 Allegedly Stabbed to Death In Doe Community

Angeline Doe, the mother of Angle Cooper aged 16 who was allegedly stabbed on Monday, October 21, 2024 in Doe Community explained that her daughter play mother informed her that an altercation ensured between the girl and a boy only identified as Kofi.

According to Angeline, her daughter play mother tried getting the help of an officer of the Liberia National Police adding “the officer allegedly requested L$1,500 before intervening”.

“The altercation intensified leading to Kofi allegedly stabbing my daughter with a knife and she died in the Kehkeh while enroute to the Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town,” Angeline said.
