In an orchard meadow, it’s not just about the trees. Old trunks, moss, deadwood and spaces like this nesting box create habitats that go far beyond fruit production.

Birds, insects, fungi and countless small organisms all depend on structures like these. What looks rough or unproductive is often exactly what keeps the system alive. Biodiversity here isn’t added, it’s the result of letting things exist side by side.

Apple trees in bloom, and everything is just getting started. The first blossoms open, insects return, and the orchard begins to move again after the quiet of winter.
This moment doesn’t last long. It’s a short window where everything is still fragile, but already full of what the season will become.

The first blossoms are already here.
Pear trees are in bloom now, apple trees follow in about two weeks. What looks like one moment is actually a sequence, each tree on its own timing. The orchard moves step by step, not all at once.
This is where the season begins.

Have you noticed the first blossoms already?

Apple tree pruning is finished.

Gloves off, ladders back, the orchard gets its shape for the year. Each cut is small, but it decides where light can reach and how the crown holds up in wind.
This is the quiet work that keeps old trees workable, year after year.

It’s more than Cider. What matters here is not a single moment. It’s people who return, land that is cared for, and work that is repeated, season after season.

That’s the part you don’t notice first, but it’s the part everything depends on.
