Ranchleigh Cattle Farm originally started as Boardman Jersey Stud in 1958. Les & Sylvia Richens started working as share farmers in 1959 at the farm and bought the farm off the Les & Beth Boardman in 1975 and started Ranchleigh Jersey Stud and also later started Ranchleigh Ayrshire Stud and in later date, started Ranchleigh Miniture Horse / Pony Stud. In 1990, a new sharefarmer family joined our t

eam, Ron & Faye Waugh. And continued working at the Ranchleigh farm as share farmers till 2018 and they bought half of the 500 acre Ranchleigh farm from the Richens family. In 2017, the Richens family went into Beef cattle after leaving the dairy industry after the Richens family been working in the dairy industry for 80 plus years. In 2020, the 250 acre farm is now run by Paul Richens in the Dreeite South area.
