The Path Farm and Co-op
The Path Farm and Co-op is an operation affiliated with The Path Shelter of Citrus County, a non-profit organization based out of Beverly Hills, Florida. The farm project is part of the shelter’s work program and produces pesticide-free seasonal produce year-round. A full history of the program and the farm is available at www.pathofcitrus.org.
The co-op has many different sign up options and pickup is currently every Friday at The Hernando Fresh Market located at 1996 N. Florida Avenue, Hernando, FL 34442 during the market’s business hours. If there is excess produce, those items are available for individual sale.
Recently, 14 hydroponic greenhouses were donated to the farm. While construction is still underway, there are 9 fully operational at this time. This means the farm will be able to expand the varieties available, and the length of time they are available, to our co-op customers.
