🧀 Crispy Baked Mac and Cheese Cups
Creamy, cheesy macaroni baked in individual portions until golden and crispy on top. These delicious little pasta cups are perfect for parties, family dinners, or a fun appetizer.
🥣 Ingredients
* 8 oz (225 g) elbow macaroni
* 2 tbsp unsalted butter
* 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
* 1½ cups whole milk
* ½ cup heavy cream
* 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
* ½ cup shredded mozzarella
* ¼ cup grated Parmesan
* 1 large egg
* ½ tsp garlic powder
* ½ tsp paprika
* Salt and black pepper, to taste
* 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
* ¼ cup breadcrumbs
👨🍳 Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin pan.
2. Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water until just al dente. Drain well.
3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
4. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
5. Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream until smooth.
6. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring until slightly thickened.
7. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted.
8. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
9. Let the cheese sauce cool for a few minutes, then whisk in the egg.
10. Add the cooked macaroni and mix until every piece is coated.
11. Divide the mixture evenly among the muffin cups, pressing gently to hold the shape.
12. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the tops.
13. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
14. Let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes before carefully removing.
15. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
