Shivani & Viman’s Sangeet ❤️‍🔥 // featured in

One Sunday morning, Gaurav Gupta opened his store especially for Shivani and Viman for a wedding appointment, and the result was pure sartorial magic. The couple’s impending Sangeet was inspired by the carnival, and Gaurav Gupta’s shimmering creations were an absolute must. CLAD decided to style not only the couple, but also their entire families in bespoke Gaurav Gupta couture. However, it was the bride’s striking scarlet lehenga that was the pièce de résistance of the event. Shivani said the lehenga was “something I never would have chosen for myself without Tanya’s encouragement. She saw my personality in it before I did, and when I finally put it on, I understood exactly why.” Combining the paradoxes of sculpture and fluidity as Gaurav Gupta does, the couturier created the waterfall-style lehenga especially for her – an ensemble he loved so much that he added it to his next bridal showing.

The groom and the men of the family got the velvet treatment, with Viman donning a classic velvet bandhgala, also by the designer. Shivani’s father and brother looked dapper in velvet double breasted suits. GG saris, predraped, were the choice of couture for the bride’s mother and sisters. While her mother glowed in a nude-hued sari that was a confection of pearls and organza, the sisters glittered in jewel tones of blue and green.

“It became one of my favourite looks from the entire weekend,” said Shivani about her Sangeet look. “Tanya’s ability to push me outside of my comfort zone while still making sure I felt like myself is something I’ll always appreciate.”

Shivani & Viman’s Haldi // featured in 💫

East met west, truly, in Shivani and Viman’s Haldi ceremony, which was kept traditional yet authentic to mirror the bride and groom’s sensibilities. Usually synonymous with golds and yellows, Shivani and Viman chose to make it a day of full of rose petals and laughter, and we wanted this lightness to reflect in their outfits.

CLAD styled Shivani in a bespoke Anamika Khanna ivory sharara that was sprinkled with gold and multihued zardozi patchwork, and her mother wore a custom Anamika Khanna outfit, too. The groom sported an airy linen bandhgala in complementary beige by Kunal Rawal, an ivory stole wrapping up the look flawlessly. CLAD also styled Shivani’s sisters and brother in Kunal Rawal, Mishru, and Torani. Since the couple were in neutrals, their family wore dainty pastel shades of mint green, pink, and lilac, and guests were advised to wear yellow and orange for that perfect haldi snap. “I wanted my wedding looks to feel unique, intentional, and deeply personal. Each outfit had to stand out yet flow harmoniously across the multiple events. More than that, I wanted my wardrobe to celebrate my Indian heritage while incorporating my personal style in a way that felt fresh, elegant, and authentic to me. Tanya understood this immediately, and she not only brought my ideas to life, but she expanded them in ways I never could have imagined,” said Shivani.

𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬

A bride and wedding that is so special and close to our hearts! Our mutual love for .in & brought us together for the most unique collaboration and one of the most memorable styling experiences. Annie’s vision was clear; she wanted six distinct couture outfits, each reflecting a different style and mood and all to be designed by Anamika Khanna. Anamika sketched and sampled designs that ranged from her signature tribal patchwork, delicate pearl and thread work, to traditional gold resham and zardozi embroidery, all in different silhouettes and colours. We referenced a lot of Anamika’s archival pieces dating back over ten years, reinterpreted with silhouettes and embroidery techniques that felt modern and exquisite.

“Working with Tanya and her team was the best decision I made during my wedding planning. Tanya understood my vision and worked tirelessly to achieve it. She took note of every minute detail that I wanted to incorporate in my outfits and successfully spearheaded the entire designing process. She is calm, patient and receptive to feedback-qualities I think are crucial when it comes to designing and styling bridal looks. I underestimated how much peace of mind this instilled, knowing that there’s someone so talented and professional taking care of crafting my wedding outfits. In Tanya, I found someone with shared taste in fashion, but more importantly, I found a friend who walked me seamlessly through an otherwise anxious and nerve-racking journey. We were able to create absolute masterpieces, heirlooms that I will value and celebrate forever.” Annie Shergill

Thank you for the wonderful feature 🤍

Two souls, two cultures, one story. Mehar and Juan’s love didn’t just cross borders but honored them, blending traditions with the ease of old friends and the spark of something more. A rainy New York rooftop meeting turned into an enduring love between the two, and the couple said “I do” in a setting that can only be described as magical. Lush, hushed, and enchanting, Mehar and Juan chose each other for life on May 23rd, donning custom Tarun Tahiliani for the big moment. At the very heart of their wedding was their affection and respect for each other, blended with sweet playfulness and their rituals and outfits echoed their beautiful story.

CLAD had the joy of styling the couple for their wedding, and we collaborated with Mehar and Juan both offline and online. “The entire styling process was very special, calm, and just so much fun. We went to India in March of this year, which was only two months before our wedding. Normally that’s peak stress time but being in India with Tanya and the CLAD team, there was no stress whatsoever,” said Mehar. “My favorite memory was when we went to the jewelry store and Tanya had it shut down for us. It gave us the space to explore and try on different pieces with the outfit, with intention, and without being rushed or pressured.”

𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐫 & 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧

This was the very place that Mehar and Juan met — a poetic New York rooftop, sparkling skyscrapers in sight. Still, it was their own private little sanctuary of peace in the rush of the city, and it felt fitting to come back to a rooftop for their prewedding shoot, years after the meet-cute.

Their love story began like any other: boy meets girl, but their love always had a thing for the rain. Mehar and Juan’s early dates included countless NYC strolls, meandering and aimless, but filled with deep conversation. Somehow, it would always rain. Somehow, the couple never had an umbrella. So, when Mehar and Juan returned to their rooftop for a deeply personal prewedding shoot, and were met with more raindrops, it felt like a sign. Life had come full circle, and the Universe was giving them a poetic wink as they prepared to spend the rest of their lives together. Swipe to see their quintessentially New York shoot before their nuptials.

Ashley and George entered their reception to a personalized music mix, comprising classic Indian hits and the first Greek song that George had introduced to his now-wife too. The bride sparkled in a champagne haze pink Gaurav Gupta creation, custom made for her with the designer himself. The outfit was a pastiche of crystals and Gaurav Gupta’s striking signature ripples and curves, complemented by a voluminous stole to complete Ashley’s look. “Working with Gaurav was a truly memorable experience! His jovial spirit made the process even more enjoyable, while his expert opinion, shaped by years of designing couture looks, was invaluable in selecting a design that fit the venue and overall vision for the evening,” said Ashley.

The mehendi ceremony is a time-honored tradition steeped in love, care, and the hope for a blissful married life for the bride and groom. Ashley and George’s sunset themed mehendi called for vibrant Indian wear that was distinctive – so Tanya chose a playful red Anita Dongre lehenga that had a unique, cropped ankle-length skirt, choli, and a jacket. This allowed the bride a wider range of movement during the function, and she could swap out uncomfortable heels for pretty juttis as she danced with her family to Sikh folk tunes. The lehenga set was adorned with top to toe threadwork, sequins, and mirror work, which added a vibrant, bohemian touch to Ashley’s wedding celebrations. The groom was also styled keeping this free-spirited aesthetic in mind – George wore an indigo blue block print drape stole kurta and pants by Divyam Mehta.

For Ashley and George’s enchanting yet darkly glamorous reception night, CLAD arranged a consultation for the couple with Gaurav Gupta, the master of architectural yet fluid evening wear. “It was Gaurav Gupta who recommended the stunning pink haze champagne color, embellished with crystals to reflect the starry night theme of the reception,” said Ashley. Like much of the wedding, her reception outfit reimagined the lehenga in a sleeker avatar, complete with a bold, sculptural stole in the same champagne pink shade. With a more modern theme for the evening, this Gaurav Gupta creation added the perfect amount of contemporary edge to the bride, whose groom was suited up in a velvet tuxedo.

At CLAD, we believe that excellence lies in the details, which is why Ashley Gill’s bridal look was full of little touches that made it perfect for her wedding day. Dressed in head to toe ivories, creams and gold, her Tarun Tahiliani lehenga was adorned with the best of Indian craftsmanship like zardozi, pitta, and aari work, and further highlighted with swarovski crystals. However, the real grace of the outfit lay in the dupatta and veil, which added the softness that Ashley had insisted on since the beginning, fashioned with intricate lace and scalloped edges, these details added a layer of old world charm to her wedding day. For a pop of colour, we paired the neutral-toned lehenga with striking polki jewellery by Purab Paschim, which was set with red stones.

With an Indian bride and Greek groom, it was important to preserve the best of their traditions, while also making sure that they felt like their authentic selves on the big day. Ashley looked ethereal in a soft-hued Tarun Tahiliani lehenga, while George was styled in a minimalistic yet modern ensemble by Seema Gujral. His short open-jacket sherwani was paired with a tonal kurta and pant set, in similar shades to the bride’s ivory and gold lehenga with cream dori work. The final look was finished with a silk safa-style turban, which added the touch of regality that Ashley and George wanted in their blueberry farm wedding. “Tanya’s ability to understand our concept and translate it into a wardrobe that felt personal and unique was remarkable,” beamed Ashley.

Ashley was sure that the outfit for her wedding would be inspired by the natural beauty of her parents’ 260-acre blueberry farm, which doubled up as the venue for her and George Spanos’ wedding celebrations. The soft morning light, gently filtering through clouds and enveloping the sweeping fields of Ashley’s farm became the muse for Tanya, who chose a gold and ivory Tarun Tahiliani lehenga for the bride. Encrusted with Swarovski crystals from top to bottom, the lehenga featured traditional aari, zardozi and gota work that paid homage to Ashley’s homeland. Soft and understated, with this Tarun Tahiliani lehenga, we were committed to making the bride shine on her special day, and also complement the serenity of the wedding venue perfectly. In a heartfelt homage to Ashley’s late brother, who had imagined her wedding on the family farm, we added bespoke kaleeras by Mrinalini Chandra, which featured her late brother’s name, “TJ,” and a heart inscribed with “missing you.”
