Dear Valued Customers,🥰
We would like to share a few words about the traditional Vietnamese Tết holiday and our Tết holiday schedule.
Vietnamese Traditional Tết (Lunar New Year)🎉🎊
Tết, short for Tết Nguyên Đán, is the most important and meaningful holiday in Vietnam. It marks the arrival of the Lunar New Year and the beginning of spring. More than just a celebration, Tết is a time for family reunion, gratitude, and new beginnings.
Before Tết, families clean and decorate their homes with peach blossoms, apricot flowers, kumquat trees, and red decorations symbolizing luck and prosperity. People prepare traditional foods such as bánh chưng (square sticky rice cake), bánh tét, pickled vegetables, and candied fruits.
On New Year’s Eve, families gather to welcome the new year together. During the first days of Tết, people visit relatives and friends, give lucky money in red envelopes to children and elders, and wish each other health, happiness, and success.
Tết is not only a celebration of a new year but also a time to honor ancestors, strengthen family bonds, and look forward to a prosperous future.
