🐝 Busy days at the Bee Site 🛠️🌿

We hard at work finishing the site, checking on our bees, and making sure every hive is healthy and thriving 🤠🍯
Everything is calm, quiet, and relaxed out here, Just the sound of nature and busy bees doing their thing.

A lot happening behind the scenes, but we’re loving every minute of it 🐝💛

🚨🐝 URGENT BEE IDENTIFICATION ALERT 🐝🚨

Today at The Bee Guy Mauritius, we discovered a very unusual “bee” that somehow landed inside our honey basket… and now refuses to leave. 🍯🧺

After several hours of observation, experts are still confused:

It doesn’t fly ❌
It meows instead of buzzes ❌
It demands food every 20 minutes ❌

And it appears to be sleeping on the job 😴
We are currently investigating whether this is: 🐝 A rare Honey Basket Bee
🐝 A Feline Pollinator
🐝 Or the legendary Mauritian Couch Bee
Please do NOT approach without treats and belly rub permissions.

Authorities are struggling to understand this species as it has completely taken over the basket and claimed it as private property.

If anyone can identify this mysterious bee, please contact The Bee Guy immediately before it starts demanding rent and tuna. 🍯🐈

The bees are back at the int school again… and honestly, I know exactly why. Right next door, there’s a beekeeper who is not managing his hives properly. When colonies are overcrowded and not monitored, they swarm. Unfortunately, this time the swarm ended up at a school again. Very “professional” beekeeping, I must say. 🐝

Today I went with Fabrice to safely collect the ladies once again and relocate them properly. This is why hive management is so important. Bees do not just randomly leave healthy, well-managed hives without reason. Space, inspections, and proper care matter.

Now Friday night we head to the bee club… with around 60,000 bees in the club. Buzzzz nuzzz 🐝🔥

This is the reality of bee work in Mauritius: long days, emergency call-outs, and making sure both the public and the bees stay safe.
