Today, on World Egg Day, we celebrate more than the egg. We celebrate the role that good nutrition can play in everyday life.
This yearโs theme, โProtein that Powers and Protectsโ, resonates particularly strongly with the work we have been carrying out over the past months.
Earlier this year, we started with our own teams, through nutrition sessions focused on practical, healthier choices. More recently, together with Caritas รle Maurice and dietitian Teenusha Soobrah, we extended the programme to those who prepare meals for children, older persons and other beneficiaries across Caritas centres.
The objective has been simple: make nutrition practical, accessible and relevant to the realities of everyday cooking, including budget, available ingredients and equipment.
The programme has taken us to Roche-Bois, Riviรจre-Noire, Pointe aux Piments and Rรฉsidence Kennedy, bringing together more than 110 participants across the different sessions.
And today, World Egg Day also gave us an opportunity to come together as a team over breakfast, and to recognise everyone who has contributed to making these initiatives possible.
At Inicia, we believe that better nutrition starts with knowledge, practical choices and access to good sources of protein.
