Opportunity Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated interns and volunteers to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and support innovative initiatives that promote environmental restoration and sustainable livelihoods.
Areas of Engagement
πΏ Permaculture
Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of sustainable farming systems.
πΎ Agribusiness
Assist with value-addition initiatives, marketing activities, sales strategies, and enterprise development.
π Livestock Management
Support animal husbandry activities, feeding programs, welfare monitoring, and farm management.
π± Tree Nursery Management
Assist with seed collection, propagation, nursery maintenance, seedling care, and distribution for restoration projects.
π³ Agroforestry
Participate in integrating trees into farming systems to improve soil health, biodiversity, and climate resilience.
π₯ Horticulture
Support vegetable and fruit production for household consumption, local markets, and agritourism activities.
π Project Management
Assist in planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and reporting of community projects.
π‘ Hospitality & Agritourism
Help create memorable visitor experiences at Nkhalango Forest Haven. Opportunities are available in:
Restaurant Services (Chefs and Waiters)
Housekeeping
Guest Relations
Qualifications
Qualification in a relevant field of interest.
Students currently pursuing a related certificate, diploma, or degree are encouraged to apply.
Interest in agriculture, environmental conservation, hospitality, or community development.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to team efforts.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience is an added advantage but is not required.
