Ok guys found it, the best Al pastor in PV and it’s right in the middle of my neighbourhood. Tacos 25 pesos or if the promotion is on 5 for 80 pesos plus other combos at 100 pesos with Aqua fresca. So far I’ve had the promotional tacos and the Torta pastor grande with cheese. The food, the price and the people it’s a winning combination.

So today’s food mission took me to El Puerco de Oro in Versalles — a brand-new one for me, and honestly… I’m kicking myself it took this long. But then again, discovering new gems is one of the best things about PV.

⏰ Opening hours: 9am–3pm
🌮 The food: right up there with the best

They use blue corn tortillas, which for anyone who doesn’t know, are higher in antioxidants (anthocyanins) and protein — so basically tacos with benefits.

I went in strong with four tacos:

1 pork belly taco

2 pork belly in green salsa

1 pork head meat taco

The clear winner? Pork belly in salsa verde — absolutely spot on.

There’s a great selection of salsas and accompaniments, and I used a different salsa on each taco. One of them completely blew my brains out… unfortunately I can’t remember which one it was, so good luck with that 😅🔥

The place itself is small, spotlessly clean, and the bonitas were super friendly and welcoming. You can always tell when somewhere’s a family business — that warm, genuine vibe gives it away.

Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back. 🌮🇲🇽
