FoodSmart Kids @ School: “BiteWise – Healthy Choices for Young Minds” is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative organized by Pasar Grub, an accredited social enterprise in-collaboration with the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), The program aims to promote a healthy eating environment among school children and nurture awareness of nutritious food choices for the next generation.

The program will feature a range of interactive and educational activities, including a health talk, games, and food tasting sessions. Health Officer from the Ministry of Health Malaysia to deliver a talk and Q&A on healthy eating, particularly focusing on the Suku Suku Separuh concept, which emphasizes balanced nutrition for growing children.

Through this initiative, students from the Bachelor of Science (Food Service Management) program will apply their classroom learning to a real-world project. They will gain hands-on experience in understanding the food supply chain system, designing healthy and appealing menus, and ensuring the sustainability of food sourcing that meets customer preferences.

School stakeholders such as canteen operators incorporated into the program to promote the initiatives.

Our fight for healthier Malaysia continues, this time going even bigger.

Campaigning the Mai Kurang & Kospen WOW(Wellness for Workers) initiative with the &

Bringing in some of Malaysia’s largest and most influential brands both international and local, we help align their health and wellness narrative with the Ministry of Health’s national agenda. Together, we champion a mission to promote healthier lifestyles in the workplace, encouraging informed food choices, promoting balanced nutrition, and correcting longstanding misconceptions about what constitutes an “unhealthy” diet.

We extend this mission to HR leaders across corporate and SME sectors. We encourage organisations to embrace employee wellness, especially healthy eating initiatives, as a core part of their sustainability and ESG strategy. By redirecting sustainability or CSR funding toward internal wellbeing programmes, companies can create a meaningful impact where it matters most—among their own people. Investing in workplace nutrition is not only good for people; it strengthens the organisation from within.

The workshop brings together a diverse group of experts, including industry leaders, professional nutritionists from the ministry and NGOs, top chefs, and data analysts. Participants will engage in in-depth discussions and debates that explore both practical and hypothetical angles such as ensuring food is visually appealing, delicious, and filling; encouraging long-term healthy habits; respecting local culture and mindsets; improving general acceptance; accessibility and strengthening educational value, food safety, and serving standards and protocols.
