π₯ Choquette Avocado β Light, Watery & Very Mild
Next in our avocado tasting journey is Choquette. π±π₯
After tasting Miki, Booth 7 and Catoline, Choquette gave us yet another very different eating experience.
Our first impression:
π₯ Size: Medium-sized fruit
π§ Texture: Watery, with quite a lot of moisture
π
Flavour: Very mild β almost no noticeable taste
π₯ Mouthfeel: Not as smooth or creamy
π§ Oiliness: Very little buttery or oily sensation
π₯€ Our thought: Probably more suitable for juice, smoothies or avocado milkshake
When eaten fresh on its own, the Choquette we tasted didn't have the creamy and buttery character we experienced with Miki. The flesh felt lighter and more watery, with very little flavour.
But that doesn't necessarily make it unsuitable for everything.
Its mild flavour and higher-moisture mouthfeel made us think it could work better blended into a drink, especially with milk or other ingredients. π₯π₯
Of course, this is only our experience with this particular fruit. Ripeness, harvest maturity, growing conditions and individual fruit can all influence taste and texture.
Another variety tasted, another experience learned. π±
One variety at a time β taste, observe and learn. π
