HOW I NEGLECTED MY BUSINESS FOR A JOB AND I REGRETTED IT.
Sometimes in 2021, I resigned from my job as a pharmaceutical sales rep. The pressure was getting too much and I wasn't having it. After resigning, my eyes opened to how much I had neglected my business because of jobs. Now I'm not preaching against working and running a business together. It really depends on the job schedule and the kind of business. But in my case I had completely neglected marketing my business and left it to chance.
Seeing how much I was left behind in the food and cake space, I began to follow many professionals in the baking and food business and I observed their marketing strategies. I also took paid classes.
After sometime my efforts didn't still seem to be yielding results. So I began to think of another business to do 😀. I then approached one of my uncles and discussed my dilemma with him. I informed him that I was getting tired of getting only a few orders per month and wanted to switch to another business. He made a statement that I didn't expect " People will always eat". I was expecting him to agree with me that it was time to switch to another business, but he didn't. I took his advice and kept pushing. Today I'm selling much more better than I did then.
