Soybean and Quinoa are two plants with the highest plant-based protein. They are both complete proteins which means that they contain all nine essential amino acids that humans need. This attribute is a quality which many other plants with good level of plant based protein lack. Its also packed with a lot of necessary minerals and vitamins like vitamin K, thiamine, manganese, phosphorus, etc.

Despite all these qualities, Soy contains some toxins which could make it unsafe for consumption if not properly extracted. These chemical substances are called lectins(not the same as lecithin) and saponins. They can cause nausea, abdominal pain, indegestion and diarrhea.
