Duchess Naturals Limited at the HerAfCFTA Regional Conference in Abuja.
It reaffirmed what many of us already know** ‘Africa’s greatest opportunity lies in trading with itself’.** As governments, development partners, financial institutions, and women entrepreneurs gathered to discuss the future of intra-African trade, one message resonated throughout the conference: we must move beyond conversations to creating real market opportunities for African businesses.
At Duchess Naturals Limited, we were delighted to showcase our proudly Nigerian products, premium cassava flour, sweet potato flour, and our signature Sh*ta Pepper: demonstrating that locally processed agricultural products can compete successfully across African and international markets when quality, standards, and value addition come first.
Thanks to United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Bureau for Africa, the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, and the AfCFTA Secretariat for convening this important regional dialogue. The conference highlighted practical solutions for increasing women’s participation in trade, improving access to finance, strengthening regional value chains, and unlocking the full potential of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
The future of African trade depends on businesses that are ready to produce, innovate, collaborate, and export. We remain committed to connecting local producers to regional and global markets while empowering SMEs to seize the immense opportunities that AfCFTA offers.
Africa is not just a market, it is our marketplace.
