Creamy pasta
250g pasta (spaghetti, penne, or fusilli)
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 medium onion (sliced)
1 cup cooking cream or heavy cream
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp mixed herbs
Salt to taste
1 seasoning cube (optional)
1 cup chicken breast or shrimp (optional)
Bell peppers & sweet corn (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Method
1. Cook the Pasta
Boil water with salt.
Add pasta and cook until soft but firm.
Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Protein
Season chicken or shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.
Fry in a little oil until cooked.
Set aside.
3. Make the Cream Sauce
Heat butter and oil in a pan.
Add onions and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
Pour in cream and milk.
Stir gently for 2–3 minutes.
4. Add Flavor
Add black pepper, herbs, seasoning cube, and cheese.
Stir until smooth and creamy.
5. Combine
Add cooked pasta and protein into the sauce.
Mix well until everything is coated.
6. Serve
Garnish with parsley or extra cheese.
Serve hot.
Chef Tips 👨‍🍳
Don’t overcook the pasta.
Add a little pasta water if the sauce becomes too thick.
For extra flavor, add mushrooms or smoked chicken.
A touch of chili flakes gives a nice kick.
