I was in PH briefly last week. Some friends who got to know I was around had to book me to cook their meals. One particular guy that had heard a lot about me seeing me that day had to take market list to buy all I would need for the cooking and paid me afterwards. It was a good business for real, cooking in the confines of my home. Others that I didn't have time to make their meals was shifted to my next visit. Am back now.

So, because of all that happened in PH, I got a new idea...

Buy your market things do all your pricing in the market and give me your ingredients to do the cooking at just 2k Yeah but, this is only for the medium size pot. Others depending on their sizes would have an additional 1k on them.

Now, this 2k for the medium size pot excludes delivery o... If i would have to deliver the meal to your house after cooking then, it would be 2,500 exclusive to town areas but areas like Gariki, Mayo etc would be 700.

Cool isn't it? 😁

If you say "I don't have time, just go to market, do the buying, cooking and delivery" then, you would have to pay 5,500 or 5,700 as the case may be😍😘

Still cool isn't it?

So, people of Facebook, let's do business together πŸ˜„

Let me help you reduce your work load.

Don't build products for your friends and family.

The reasons why a lot of people underprice their products are:

1. They create products with their friends and family in mind.

I learned this from Olumati Isaiah a few days ago.

When you create products with your family, friends and colleagues in mind you are afraid to charge premium.

Outside your circle of friends, there are thousands of people out there who are ready and willing to buy your product at the price you place on it.

Don't limit yourself. In fact, don't expect your friends to buy your products.

They are not your target market.

When people in your friend list don't buy your stuff, it simply means that you have a huge percentage of friends and family.

So, your marketing should not end on your facebook timeline.

Run a facebook ad to target people who need your product.

The same product you're selling for 5k someone somewhere is selling it for 120k.

Don't listen to the "there's no money" propaganda.

People have money to spend on things that matter to them.

2. They don't understand the value of their products.

We have perceived value and actual value.

The amount people are willing to pay you for your service is the sum total of your actual value and perceived value.

Your perceived value is much more important than the actual value.

No matter how great your product is, if people have a wrong perception about it, then forget it.

Humans consciously or unconsciously judge a book by its cover.

Don't be so concerned about the content that you forget the container.

80% of the people who will buy from you are first attracted by your container.

In 2018, those who will make the most money are people who understand branding and packaging.

The reason why coke in Eko Hotel is more expensive than the one by the road side is the difference between perceived value and actual value.

3. They fear if people will buy at that price.

It's simple. The value you place on your product shows the confidence you have on your results.

If you don't take the bold step to charge premium, nobody will appreciate your worth.

Once upon a time, I practically begged people to setup their blogs for 10k.

Even at that, they didn't take me seriously.

But after a strategy session with a business coach I increased my price to 30k.

And boy! I got more clients after increasing my price.

The problem is that, I was focusing on those who couldn't afford my service.

The day I changed my focus, my price changed and my clients changed.

4. They are not concerned about the future.

Do not charge based on your current account balance in the bank.

Charge based on the future your desiring.

Charge according to your income goals not according to what others think or say.

5. They're not exposed to a higher lifestyle.

If you are privileged to mingle with top earners and successful business owners, you will be ashamed to mention the price of your products in public.

So, expose yourself to a higher lifestyle.

Attend events where you will find successful CEO's and entrepreneurs.

Admire their expensive suits.

Inhale their designer perfumes.

Smell and feel success.

Take yourself out and dine in an expensive restaurant.

Imagine what it means to live a rich life.

Then ask yourself if the price you placed on your products can afford the future you desire.

But but but.... a crappy product will go nowhere no matter how low or high the price is.
