The Poor Boy Who Returned a Lost Wallet
Episode 3 ❤️👇
The security guards looked at him
suspiciously.
“You? Return something important?”
Workers nearby laughed at his tørn slippers.
One guard said rudely,
“Go away before we chase you!”
Chinedu almost cr!ed.
But he gathered courage.
“Please… this wallet belongs to Mr. Adewale.”
Immediately, one guard became serious.
“How do you know that name?”
Chinedu showed him the wallet.
The guards exchanged shøcked looks.
“Wait here.”
Minutes later, a wørr!ed-looking man rushed downstairs.
It was Mr. Adewale.
The moment he saw the wallet, his eyes widened with relief.
“My wallet!”
Mr. Adewale quickly opened the wallet.
Everything was still inside.
Nothing was missing.
He stared silently at Chinedu.
“You didn’t take anything?”
Chinedu shook his head.
“No sir.”
The businessman became emotional.
“Young boy… do you know how important this is?”
He explained that the wallet contained money meant for workers’ salaries and important documents for a major contract.
“I could have lost everything today.”
T3ãrs gathered in his eyes.
“Why did you return it?”
Chinedu lowered his head.
“My mother said honesty is more valuable than money.”
The entire office became silent.
Mr. Adewale smiled warmly.
“You have a good heart.”
He brought out money and handed it to Chinedu.
But Chinedu stepped back.
“I didn’t return it for reward, sir.”
Everyone became even more surprised.
The businessman’s eyes filled with admiration.
“What do you want to become in life?”
“I want to go back to school.”
Mr. Adewale paused quietly.
Then he smiled.
“From today, your education is my responsibility.”
Chinedu froze in shøck.
“What?”
“I will pay your school fees.”
t3ãrs rolled down Chinedu’s face.
For the first time in many years, hope entered his life.
