🦃 Our Turkeys Are Clocking 4 Months Tomorrow! 🎉

This morning was another routine check and medication time at the farm, and honestly, I couldn’t help but admire how much these guys have grown! 😍🦃

Just looking at them, you can tell the weight gain has been serious! 💪😂 They’ve gone from those little, energetic birds to some big, strong and heavy turkeys that are beginning to look like serious farm investment.

As they clock 4 months tomorrow, I’m grateful for the progress so far. This morning, I gave them their routine medication and took some time to observe their condition, appetite and overall growth.

One thing farming keeps teaching me is that growth doesn’t happen overnight. It’s the daily feeding, clean water, proper care, observation and consistency that eventually show in the results.

At this rate, these turkeys are gradually becoming the big boys of C&S Feather Farms! 😂🦃🔥

Who else loves watching their livestock grow from day one? ❤️🌾

Like I said earlier, today was for the farm! 🌽🌱

I went to my mini farm to check out my maize and see if I could harvest a few today. To my surprise, it turned out to be a really good day! 🙌🏾

I was able to harvest some beautiful, well-filled cobs with very nice, sweet and juicy seeds. 🌽😍

There’s just something special about planting, nurturing and eventually harvesting what you planted with your own hands. The joy is different! ❤️🌱

Small farm, big joy. Small harvest, but a very grateful heart. 🙏🏾

Who else loves fresh roasted or boiled corn? 😂🌽

🐐 My Simple Feeding Routine for My Goats 🌱

In the morning, I give them a concentrate made up of ingredients like Bambara nuts, bean chaff, maize, PKC (palm kernel cake), and other suitable feed ingredients.

In the evening, I provide them with fresh grasses and forage or fresh potatoes, yam or plantains peels

And most importantly, I always make sure they have clean, fresh water available. Proper hydration is essential for their health and digestion.

Good feeding + clean water + consistency = healthy goats and a growing farm. 🐐🌱💚

Just done with deliveries! Had some orders this afternoon for chickens, and they had to be dressed, so I quickly ran along to get everything done before it got late.

Just got home now after the morning waka , from inspection, feeding the chickens, attending to the farm, then straight into deliveries. 🐓💪🏽
Farming is not just about posting the finished product; there’s plenty of waka, sweat and work behind every chicken that gets to your table. 😂

Another productive day at C&SFeatherFarms.
Grateful for the strength to keep showing up and getting the work done. 🙏🏽🌱

🐐💚 A Little Surprise Might Be Coming to the Farm!

While checking on my two female goats today, I noticed something exciting. They’ve both been increasing in size recently, and their udders/mammary glands also appear noticeably swollen.

I’m beginning to suspect that both of them may be pregnant! 🐐🤰🏾😍

Of course, we’ll keep monitoring them closely and confirm before celebrating officially. But if our suspicion is correct, we may soon have some new additions to the farm! 🐐🐐🥰

This is one of the beautiful things about livestock farming—you never know what pleasant surprise the next inspection might bring.

Fingers crossed! 🙏🏾🌱

May God continue to bless the work of our hands.
