Against all advice, an elder statesman cashed out his pension and bet it all on hectares of crop farming. He watched all his money disappear into thin air.

Yes, Farming is not a hobby for retirement.
It is not as easy as people think.
You need to build up the required skills and experience.

Farming is a complex endeavour, requiring deep understanding and strategic thinking to cultivate quality crops on just one hectare. That's why it's important to begin early, soaking in knowledge, embracing failure, and seeking mentorship. Youth brings the energy needed to nurture the land.

I feel pity for someone who has never tended a single crop and suddenly decides at 65 that they want to be a farmer. Where were they all those years?
