SOME EGGS ARE SO BIG THEY SEEM OUT OF THIS WORLD
Egg size is usually related to the bird's body size, although some species are capable of producing disproportionately large eggs compared to their body size. Among them all, the ostrich takes the top spot.
A single ostrich egg can weigh more than 1.5 kilograms and is roughly equivalent to more than twenty chicken eggs. Next come species like the emu, goose, and turkey, which also produce considerably large and sturdy eggs.
Among domestic birds, some chicken breeds like the Brahma are known for laying larger-than-average eggs, while ducks and geese produce large eggs used in various culinary preparations.
The world's largest egg belongs to the ostrich, and its shell is so strong that it can support the weight of an adult without breaking easily.
