We're too quick to tell people to "work harder," "pray more," "learn a skill," or "keep pushing."
And yes, advice has its place.
But there comes a point where another motivational speech won't change anything.
The baker doesn't just need encouragement. She needs customers.
The graduate doesn't just need another seminar. They need a job.
The entrepreneur doesn't just need another business class. They need funding, exposure, or someone willing to take a chance on them.
Sometimes, the difference between someone who "made it" and someone who's still struggling isn't intelligence or hard work.
It's access.
It's opportunity.
So before we assume people aren't trying hard enough, maybe we should ask if they've been given a fair chance.
