1. I can crochet. I haven’t created anything serious since becoming a mother though, because I don’t enjoy walking through Nigerian markets, and I just can’t seem to find enough yarn colour options online. (Confession: the last time I actively searched was in 2023.) I’ve really missed my first love, my fellow crocheters, please send me yarn plugs in Ibadan.
2. The video that led me to consciously accept Christ was a YouTube video about a woman who said she went to hell and came back. I was 15, and I guess up until then, I hadn’t really thought much about eternity. Watching that video made me rethink my existence and decide to truly follow Jesus and live in the reality of His love for me.
3. I spent all my teenage years in the UAE. I came back to Nigeria to write my O-level exams and then planned to head back abroad, but God had better plans. I can read Arabic; speaking it, not so much, because I didn’t get enough practice. Oh, and yes, I still remember the national anthem. 😊
4. I went natural in 2019, did the big chop myself, and then locked my hair in 2022. My locs are now 4 years old, and I’m still in love with them.
